An undertaker must be proficient in legal matters and should know the official procedures to be followed, or the necessary approvals needed from the government authorities before organizing funeral ceremonies. The essential regulations and formalities to be completed to obtain a death certificate or to file insurance claims must also be known to him.
Lastly, an undertaker should know how to drive and must possess an appropriate driving license, as he may have to drive vehicles to transport the deceased.
