Some New Suspense Fiction Books
If you’re taking a look at this particular article, chances are, you are an avid reader of suspense fiction books. Granted, there are hundreds of authors that are out there to choose from in this genre alone, and you will find that many of them are worth the time to read for yourself.
For this article’s sake, there will only be one author that will be discussed. You might not be surprised to learn that there are several different authors in this genre alone, and so branching out should not be difficult. To acquaint you with the author in this article, you will be introduced to two of his most popular pieces as decided by general ratings and reviews. The author you are going to be introduced to through this article is Ted Dekker.
When you look up this author through a normal search engine, one of the first pieces of literature that you are going to come across will be “Thr3e”. This impressive piece of literature centers on the hero, Kevin, who is fresh out of seminary and unknowingly stumbles into the bad graces of a madman. This madman’s name is Slater and he vows to expose a secret sin of Kevin’s, and might very well kill him in the process.
He learns that a man named Slater is set to expose his hidden sin, though Kevin has no idea what this sin is. In fact, he learns that unless he figures it out, it could very well cost him his life too. This story has enough plot twists to keep you guessing clear to the end with a cat and mouse unlike anything you might have read for quite some time.
The next on the short list of Dekker’s popular pieces would be “Adam” which is the story centering on a Special Agent in the FBI. He is saddled with catching a budding serial killer who has already killed 15 women, one on each new moon. With a new moon on the horizon, the time is drawing nigh to catch the killer before he strikes again.
At one point the agent nearly catches the killer, only to die in the process for a few moments. In this event, he gets a glimpse of the killer, but cannot remember due to the trauma of having died. The killer than abducts the agent’s wife, to make her the sixteenth victim. The agent learns that the answers to catch the serial killer lie in the moments that he was dead, and he must die a few more times to put the pieces back together.
You might not have heard of Ted Dekker before, and that is quite all right. However, if you are looking for an impressive name in the field of suspense fiction books, than Dekker is certainly near the top of this list. But don’t just take this article as your proof, pick up a novel and see for yourself when you have trouble putting it back down again.
