The internet provides a variety of free and paid resources that you can use to learn English and expand your vocabulary. You can also join online and interactive English classes, which are similar to classroom type programs. Each options has its pros and cons, you just have to choose the option most suited to your learning style. Here are some of the different resources that you can use:

Flashcards: Using flashcards may allow you to learn English fast, with ease. There are ready made flashcards available or you can create your own by citing an English dictionary.

English software learning programs may also have flashcards in them. The program will automatically display a card at random, and some may either show the definitions or the words first.

Software training programs: Computer software can be used to learn proper English grammar and vocabulary quickly. You can go through the materials and activities in a software program at your own rate. These programs are structured in such a way for you to learn quickly through fun games and activities.

Online tutorials: One of the best ways to learn the English language quickly and build your vocabulary is to watch and review online tutorials. There are a number of different types of online tutorials available. Some are offered through a classroom format where you need to attend a certain number of online classes over the course of the week. Others are available for immediate access or downloading so you can learn the English language at your own pace. Whatever format you choose, this interactive approach makes it easy to build your vocabulary and practice your pronunciation.

DVDs: You can quickly learn a lot from DVDs since they utilize both hearing and our vision to teach us about English. DVDs usually include activities and exercises as well.

Audio CDs: You can listen to Audio CDs while on the car or you can rip the contents into your MP3 player or Ipod. CDs are also a great way to learn proper pronunciation and how to use words in conversations.

Recent studies have determined that people with a better English vocabulary do better at work and in school than those with inferior vocabularies. In these modern times, anyone can improve their vocabulary with the use of vocabulary software, which aids in expanding vocabulary as much as 100 times faster than traditional study methods.
